Light Lag
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Light Lag is a simultaneous-turn (WEGO) space battle simulator. Every ship drifts on Newtonian momentum, every order you give takes real time to reach the ships that carry it out, and everything you see of the enemy is as old as the light that brought it. You plot a turn, your opponent plots theirs, and both resolve at once.
Command a Concord fleet on the Forge Run: thirteen jumps through sealed Directorate space, escorting the auxiliary Atlas and the last gate-forge to relight the dark anchor at Farlight. Twenty-six systems, missions dealt from a rotation of escorts, courier hunts, defences, assaults, minefields and breakouts, a neutral third fleet that answers only fire, and named captains whose temperaments take the helm when your orders do not arrive.
Alongside the campaign: a skirmish list of stand-alone missions, a tutorial, a fleet refit screen for fitting hulls before a battle, deterministic replays of every battle, and four difficulty levels up to insane.
This is an alpha. The sim is complete and every mechanic is documented in the in-game Help; the art, balance and campaign copy are still being tuned. Send Feedback buttons on the About screen, the pause menu and the debrief open a short form, and the newest replay is copied to your clipboard so a bug report can carry the exact battle. Windows, macOS and Linux.
